If its your first visit to the Island we would recommend our Island taster tour, this condensed Isle of Man Sightseeing tour covers a lot of ground, but we have structured it in a way that ensures you have ‘Traa dy liooar’ (Manx Gaelic for ‘Time Enough’)

Tour Itinerary

On this tour you will visit

Castletown – Ancient Capital of Mann

Commencing in Douglas, we will firstly head south & take in the sights of the ancient capital of Mann, Castletown, where, if you wish, you can spend an extra hour in Castle Rushen. This is one of the best preserved medieval castles in the world and was once home to the Kings and Lords of Mann.

Cregneash Village

We will head on to Cregneash village, a living museum dedicated to the preservation of the island’s way of life and where you find discover Manx Loughgtan sheep and Manx tailless cats.

The Sound

Then on to The Sound, the most southern point of our beautiful Isle,a stunning backdrop home to seals, dolphins and basking sharks


We will then move along the beautiful west coast stopping at the peaceful Niarbyl Bay, with its rolling hills, thatched cottages and dramatic coastline with a unique geographical fault line.

Peel ‘The Sunset City’

Then on to the picturesque town of Peel known as the Sunset City, where, if required, a restaurant for lunch can be booked in advance( not included in price ) Here we would also recommend you taking an extra hour and visit the House of Manannan where the Island’s mythological sea god, Manannan, welcomes you to his fascinating Kingdom.

Tynwald Hill

We will then head inland to St johns to Tynwald Hill, place of the Manx parliamentary assembly, dating back at least to the late first millennium AD. The site continues to be active today and in 1979 it celebrated its millennium as a continuous parliament.


We then join the TT course for a taste of the famous circuit until Ramsey in the north…

Laxey Wheel

where we will peel off & head back east to see the great Laxey Wheel, the largest working water wheel in the world. You may wish add 30 minutes to your Tour to climb to the top and enjoy the panoramic views across Laxey valley and up to Snaefell Mountain


Then we will return to Douglas along the historical victorian Promenade.
